This being the week before the return to school for many, Team Swap decided to go for a more educationally directed post this week. That being said, and considering the education of most of the people that work with this ministry, this will be a short post. Just kidding, sort of, and thanks to all the teachers and professors that attempted to educate us all.

On a serious note be sure to regularly pray not just for the teachers, administrators, and professors that you or your children have, but also for all the educators locally. If you do not have children, or they are all grown up and gone and you do not have grandchildren, select a school near you and pray for the students and faculty there. God answers the prayers of His people and He is serious about the work of change and improvement, so do not forget to pray for both students and educators regularly.

Now on to this weeks post. For those that are regular visitors here you know that The Team Swap Team tends to look at things with a different eye then most. For those that are not regulars, why not bookmark us and come back regularly to visit where you can get a feel for what we are all about here. Basically, be warned this is not your typical Christian site and God willing it will never be such. We are all unique and different and at Team Swap we thrive on being different, so as we thought about education, and began to think about one of our favorite subjects, science, specifically physics. The great thing about physics is it explains why and how things occur. If you wonder why and how something happens it usually makes understanding what results from the event more understandable.

As we have already said, we like to think about things differently around here. One of the things that we began to ponder is Einstein's special theory of relativity, or as it is better known E=mc2. In scientific standards that is Energy equals Mass times the Speed of light squared. Now we know that relativity is not something out of the Bible, nor does Jesus speak to relativity in relationship to salvation, but in this theory we have found something that we had never seen before. We found an equation for salvation. Ok, now that we have the attention of all the Bible scholars and theologians let's get down to business, and see in the end if you do not concur. Here goes -

Literally typed E=mc2 equals E = M x ( C1 X C2), so if we redefined our variables to the following - E=eternity, M = my, C1 = Christ, and C2 = crucified, then E=mc2 using the new variable definition would be Eternity equals My Christ Crucified. Interesting and odd eh. Thus, Eternity is only possible for me due to my Christ's crucifixion, way cool and neato right. Sorry to all the theologians and pastors that are having heart attacks right now, we hope you do not get to many questions on E=mc2 in relation to Christ.

Now, let’s continue to look at bit deeper at this theory. Without that second C we would simply have Eternity equals My Christ, which is also true. Eternity will come with or without me. Christ is/was and will be eternal, and even if I do not accept Him as savior He is still Christ, because my view or opinion of Him does not change His nature. He is who He is, and my opinion on that point does not change Him. My opinion on him only affects me. If He had never come He would still have been MY Christ at judgement, as He would be there judging and every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Him as Christ. So, the real key to it all is the second C, His crucifixion.

That is the change that impacts the entire equation. His crucifixion is the thing that makes my external future positive. Without His crucifixion my eternity is certain, certainly bad, certainly dark, and certainly bleak since we personally are all non elite gentiles from "the hinter lands". So, my eternity is set not because of my life, my actions, my ways, my habits, my hobbies, or my accomplishments, but because of my Christ crucified .

We know this has not been the deepest or most profound note that we have ever put online, but we wanted to post something that was simple, and short. With this post we had two goals. First, we want to give everyone something that can be easily remembered as life gets busy and hecktit in the next few weeks. Wheather you are in school (as student or a teacher), or not, there are times when we all reach points where we need a simple understanding of both Christ and ourselves in Him, we believe our redefinition of E=mc2 is that. Secondly, when God revealed this bit of wisdom to us, He reminded us to look at the things that were already around us and to consider the things that are already in our minds and find Christ in them instead of trying to create new things for Christ to be in.

We have always dabbled in science, yet we had never seen Christ in Einstein's theorem until recently. Though we had always seen God and Christ throughout science, nature and creation, this theorem had never been seen by us as something that God could use to encourage and teach us, it was simply a equation that we know and memorized, nothing more. It became more when God showed us to look at what we know and see Him in it. There is nothing new under the sun, and no thought of ours will ever be profound enough to impact eternity. Yet every thought of ours should be on using what we know to impact eternity via Christ and His work and will. Please understand this was/is not an attempt to bring God to a human level, but an example of God revealing Himself via His creation to His servants. We hope and pray that it encourages you to seek God in all things, and is a simple reminder of Him when things get dark and bleak. Have a great day, stay strong and know that Eternity = My Christ Crucified.

Romans 5:1 (NIV) Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Romans 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

---------------------------

Romans 6:1(NIV) What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 6:5 If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin 7 because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

Romans 6:8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

Romans 6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
