| Salvation is simply accepting Christ as the Lord and Savior of your life. That means that you believe that God is the creator of all things and the giver of life. That means that you believe that God sent Jesus to earth to die for your sins, because only a perfect (sinless) sacrifice could atone for the sins of man That means that you believe that Jesus came and lived on earth as a man, yet was still fully God That means that you believe that Jesus committed no sins (never lied, cheated, lusted, etc. - did nothing against God's law) That means that you believe that Jesus loved you so much that He was willing to die to pay the price of your sins. That means that you believe that Jesus, the only son of the only God, died on a cross for your sins That means that you believe that three days later Jesus arose, defeating death, hell, and the grave and conquering the power of sin that condemns us to hell That means that you believe that by accepting this sacrifice of love from Christ that you are now part of God's family and can live forever. |
