F1 Berth
The second largest nation in the world in terms of population and the world’s largest democracy - India, can now add one more check mark into the assent to the heights of world power - they have a driver in F1. Narain Karthikeyan after being a test driver for Jordon, Jaguar (now the newly minted Team Red Bull), and Mindari (the teams that fight to stay ahead of very back of the F1 pack many times) has signed a deal to drive for Jordon. This follows Karthikeyan’s success on the Nissian series and wins on two F1 tracks in that series. Hopefully this will be the first of many moves to allow talented drivers to move into the top level of racing that has so long been dominated by drivers from just a select few nations.
