Speech for Citizens & Non Citizens
The Volokh Conspricy takes on the issue of the right to free speech of citizens vs non citizens, including immigrants (i.e. legally here) that have many of the same rights as citizens, but have a few minor limitations to their actions and can also have their citizenship revoked unlike a native born American. Eugene V goes point by point and references current law that controls the application and limits of free speech rules against non citizens. This is a discussion of what the rules are and what is currently being used as a guide and not about what the rules should be or where the laws may be going. For those that are interested in politics, citizenship, immigration, and issues surrounding all the above this is a very interesting and informative post. Very good read and very well written.
