Nice piece of code
Linspire - creator of a variant of Desktop Linux - is supporting the development of a open source HTML editor called Nvu (pronounced New View). Nvu is covered under the MPL/LGPL/GPL tri-license. This means you can download, edit and redistribute the code
Though we personally use Dreamweaver to develop this site, and our other projects, NVU is a very cool project and may be the right choice for many developers. First of all it is free (Dreamweaver is fairly expensive for someone that is not sure what their future plans and purpose will be), secondly it is easy for a non technical user to use, and third it designs very nice HTML sites. We encourage all our visitors that have any interest in web development, internet sites, etc to download NVu and give it a test drive. Even if you use Dreamweaver or Frontpage (cough, barf, etc) download it and give it a run. We are planning to use Nvu to develop a upcoming small project to support the effort, we may even be teaching a class about it to some local non-profits soon.

I’ve tried Nvu. Nice program. Easy to use too.
