Protecting the rights of all women

The Hatemonger’s Quarterly today has a very interesting post where they take on the touchy subject of women’s rights within the Muslim faith.  The crack young staff adds to this piece by also discussing the situation that the accepting of other cultures as great merely due to their difference, even when they are brutal, oppressive and repressive by design, puts many multiculturists in a difficult spot. They conclude by asking if some inconsistencies in wanting to help all women have had let to the decline of many women taking the feminist label on for themselves.  Full Post Here

  1. [...] The Politburo Diktat has a post regarding the trend in many nations to abort female babies.  The trend to about females numbers into the millions in both India and China based on reports.  Full Post Here  The Kommisar goes on to discuss how there is little to no response from feminist about this because it involves abortion, something they hold dear. This trend, for American feminist to remain silent about crimes and rights restrictions against females (from aborting female children, genital torture, restricted rights / privileges, sherif law in some nations, etc) in other nations because they oppose the current direction and leadership of America is why feminism has a shrinking power base in today.  I think the main reason that American feminist remain silent about the aborting of female babies is because they truly value the ability to choose abortion more then they are concerned about the rights of women.  Baby girls should be just as important to a real feminist as a child rearing women. I am completely for equal and fair rights, no woman should have less right and privileges then a man, but that also means equally protecting the ability or right of a child, of either sex, to be born.  This situation in India and China makes the same point that we talked about on the 6th  - post here – when we linked to a Hatemonger’s Quarterly Post about the trend of declining feminist power in America.
