Ok this is NOT a sport
I was fine with calling Dodge Ball a sport, I can live with Curling and Rhythmic Dance and Sync Swimming as Olympic sports, but this has gone to far. Over at Fox News – story here I found out that Rock, paper, Scissors is now a PROFESSIONAL SPORT!!
Yes, I get the fact that is as much a joke as it is serious, but still to consider RPS (That means role playing system to me but I am a computer geek) – as the “cool” pro players call it – a game is just a sad statement on how low the definition of what a “sport” is has fallen. To me a sport requires some athletic activity and if I can do it “well” without excreting much energy then it really is not a sport. The story is worth a read though for just a bit of fun and a smile.
