Great Show - David Crowder & Third Day
Last night myself and the beautiful wife, along with three youth from our church, went to the Third Day show, with David Crowder Band opening, here in Knoxville. You know for us to miss Survivor there has to be a great reason and this show was a great reason.
First things first - The David Crowder Band puts on a GREAT SHOW. I did not think I would like them live, but they are great. Lots of fun, lots of energy, very worshipful, good stage presence, and a great example of what worship music can be. They really impressed me, and anyone that gets a chance to see them should. Great show, also glad that David got a corn dog as he was looking a bit thin.
Now to Third Day. I would like to thank Chevy / Chevrolet for sponsoring this tour ,the Wherever You Are Tour, and allowing Third Day to have a great stage rig. Their stage equipment / look, including a huge screen and interactive light, was incredible. It is as good as any show I have ever seen, Christian or secular. Simply amazing.
As great as the stage show and the lights were though, Third Day and their music was even better. These guys really have the ability to take you to a place of worship and leave you there. They did my favorite Third Day song - Thief - and that was definitely the highlight of the show for me. Their covers of classic hymns also made me want to sing hymns, as long as they are done that way. For those that know me that is a HUGE statement.
Simply Third Day amazes me every time that I see them by how they can be performing incredibly and yet never seem to be the center of the show. They really seem to just be there shining Christ to their audience. They are the only act I have ever seen that seems to becomes invisible, not due to lack of talent or skill, due to their worshipful nature. These guys don’t try to out play everyone, don’t try to out logic / argue everyone, and don’t even really try to out show everyone, they just out worship everyone. Simply incredible. Do not miss this these guys - either Third Day or David Crowder - if you get a chance to see them.

You are a blessed man Frank! I have just discovered Third Day, last week actually, when I heard… “Cry Out To Jesus” I loved it! They are fantastic!
Be encouraged!

John,
You are correct, I am blessed. Come On Back To Me, Tunnel, and Carry My Cross are just running through my head today. God is great and I am blessed to be loved so mightily by the creator of the Universe.
Keep up the great work, and your incredible site. You and it are both encouragements and blessings to me and this ministry, even if we forget to share all that we learn from you at times.

I went to the show and I was really excited to be there. I have only been listening to Third Day for about a month now and they played all of my favorite songs. David Crowder was awesome too. During Cry Out to Jesus I experienced some awesome emotions and it brought me closer to God than I have ever been. Third Day is amazing and I will go and see them anytime I can from now on. Great Blog!!!!
