Rush plead out
Rush Limbaugh plead out his Florida drug case Friday with a deal that will drop the charges, after 18 months, if he continues to seek a doctors care. Florida prosecutors can claim a win because they gained the right to use a search warrent to look at medical records. Both sides are calling it a win. Some think this case took to long to get tired, for charges to be brought. After the pleading some believe that the media is making too much of this story. Long and short Limbaugh comes out with no record after 18 months - if he remains under a doctors care, his audience will not be impacted by this story, and those that dislike him have one more thing to point out about him to his supporters.

His plea was ” Not Guilty” ! you did not mention that, Why?
I don’t see this as anytype of win
for Prosecution.
He has been and I am sure will remain under care. All people addicted to painkillers have to remain under care.
I see this as a win for Rush.
This was a witch hunt and most people know this.

I did not mention the not guilty because I wanted people to read the stories. Honestly Paul, if you had not noticed before, there are a lot of times we just present info and let the reader decide what they think.
Our only purpose in this post was to mention the case ended and some of the issues around it, including what both sides got. The prosecution, regetibly I would argue, gained the right to get medical records in Florida via search warrent. I regret this not because it involved Rush, but because I think the people of Florida lost a important privacy right here. Simply, like it or not, the prosecution got a win as they wanted to get a increased search power. I would agree with you that Rush came out ahead here, but that was not important to present the info that the case ended.
If you note Paul we did not share our opinion on the case, the plea, or the ideas behind it. All we said was that Rush will have a clean record in 18month -fact-, it did not impact his audience -fact-, it will be / has been used by those that disagree with Rush - fact -, the prosecution gained a new power - fact -, many think that it took too long to try / bring the case - fact. Long and short we were letting the reader decide what they thought and felt on the case. It was not meant as a piece taking sides, or as a position piece, but as just a reporting of facts with a short opinion phrase at the end.
We are sorry if you took it in any other way. We always welcome your opinions, comments, and visits though. Please continue to keep our feet to the fire if you think we are not being fair or unjust. Basically, we are sorry if we were not clear in our purpose and thanks for commenting.
Bottom-line, I think that our goal of basically just reporting facts about the case ending with a overview opinion comment was not the same goal you would have in posting about the story, so I think this is a case of different online goals conflicting. We will always welcome and consider your views and comments though and thanks for your support and visits.
