Levels of Geeks

Was talking to a friend last night and it really became obvious that there are levels of geeks out there, so we decided to offer up our top 10 list of geek level. 10 being less geeky, 1 being the most geeky. Give us your list and let’s see how they all measure up.

    10. Computer Geeks - why number 10 and not higher? Because computer geeks pay the bills.
    9. Band Geeks - at least you can grow out of this geekdom
    8. Cheer, Gymanastic, and Tumbling geeks - see note to #9
    7. Sports Geeks - if you know more stats about sports then you do about your partner you have a problem
    6. Car Geeks - go bore out you block instead of making me want to knock your block off
    5. Theatre Geeks - though be lost amongst yonder rolling hills and fields
    4. Geo Cache Geeks - sure you can read a GPS and find a nano / micro cache, but can you find a clue?
    3. Star Trek / Sci Fi Geeks - dress up ends at 12
    2. Cartoon / Anime Geeks - don’t let fear of real people keep you in your parents basement forever
    1. SCA Geeks - if you know what it is / they are you are safe. If you are not sure if you are one, you are and you need help. Admitting there is a problem is the first step to recovery

Before you send the hate mail understand that this post is meant in fun, and meant to put a smile on your face. We would love to see your list so put them in the comments. We except to see Team Swap geeks in at least a few lists.

  1. [...] Preston Taylor Holmes of Six Meat Buffet has a White Trash Wednesday post – post here today that is classic. PTH points the WTW lance at the Nashville Dur-Demarion group that re-enacts and plays out epic middle earth and tolkenesque battles. This post ties in perfectly with our geek ranking post – here – from a few weeks ago. I guess we need to change number #1 to not just include SCA, but Dur-Demarion as well. Give PTH’s post a read and see if you do not want to go out and picket the geeks in the park this weekend yourself. [...]
