Light On The Lawn

First of all we normally do not tell people to go to shows, but this time we are. IF you are anywhere around Knoxville on Saturday - June 3rd - then take $5 and head to Pellissippi State for Light On The Lawn The show starts at 4PM and goes to about 10PM or so. In other words all you Metal Head Baptist like us can still get up in time for Sunday School the next AM.

There are many good reasons to go to this show - it only costing $5 being a big one - but number one on the list is the fact that Bristol,TN’s own GRETCHEN will be there. They praise God, they rock, they are incredibly talented, they are loud, and oh yeah THEY ROCK!!! Don’t believe me check out their site and give some of their stuff a listen. I would also encourage you to BUY some of their stuff, but that is just me. The Richard’s (Mia and Dave) along with Brandon Hensley on drums will give you a new view of how “heavy - melodic - Happy - Gothic - Chic - Rock” sounds. Basically think of Evenscense, with better Christian lyrics, fronted by Pink. That is Gretchen. DO NOT MISS THESE GUYS.

In fact, again, do not miss this show. Exit 352 will be there, as well as The 7 Method, Jeremy Cotter, Poor Mans Riches, Under The Son , and G-Wizz (whose web site is down) is MCing. This will likely be the first in a series of shows by Barry Dickey, the shows promoter. Barry would like to start having a few weekend festivals in the area a year, so show up and support this show where he can see there is a demand out there for the music. If you want more details tune into LIVE AT 5 today and see the interview with Barry.
