Milton Stanley, via links to Jim Martin - here and here -, has two great posts on the topics of Pink Elephants in the Living Room and Beating The Happiness Addiction.

I can really relate to the Beating The Happiness Addiction post as I have seen that occur OVER and OVER within the body of Christ. Too many people connect ministry success with everyone within it being happy. Ministries should challenge and motivate people to change. If you are doing that you are probably not making most people happy as most people avoid change and challenge.
