Hell’s Kitchen Eviction
Yes I know I watch way to many reality TV shows. Moving on.
I was watching Hell’s Kitchen last night and for the 5 or 6th time Virginia went up to go home, and one more time she continued on. She is by far the luckiest person ever on Hell’s Kitchen. She is always bad, just not as bad as one other person.
This time she stayed due to a technicality though. She won the right to be top three by winning the challenge, and Gordon (the chef) - though he said she was not longer safe - said he was a man of his word and that she could stay if she wanted too. I did think it was pretty bad for Virginia to bring back such bad gifts - a creamer, a pot holder / glove and a crab cracker. That is not the way to build relationships. Anyway, after telling Heather (who put her up) that she (Virginia) wanted to go home she changed her mind and told Gordon that she wanted to stay, thus sending Sara back to Texas to run a deli and maybe a chow wagon (she said it was a dream of hers last night).
Sara was not great, and she probably would have gone next week - leaving Heather and Keith as the top two (which is how it should be), but she is SO much better in the kitchen then Virginia. Virginia can cook, as long as there is no rush, no orders, and no chaos. That means that she can NEVER run a kitchen. She needs to be a dessert chef where she can cook everything ahead of time and then have it served later.
Heather and Keith are by far the best two chefs this year. That was clear from the beginning I think. Most of the others have been want to be’s or could be’s with some training. Only Heather and Keith are ready to run a kitchen NOW!!
Next week I think Keith gets in trouble for being rude to the others when he is put in charge of the kitchen. It is just a guess, based on the preview, but how he addresses the other chef’s looks bad and it looks like Gordon is mad at the end. K-Grease (Keith) is defiantly capable, but the power may go to his head. We will see next week. Obviously, based on his decision to try to RE COOK the noodles for THE TABLE OF THE NIGHT (why would you think you could sneak THAT by world class chefs), Keith can get sloppy and out of control when he gets in a hurry and in a position of authority. That may be his down fall.
We will see next week when the final elimination comes down. I hope Virginia goes home (FINALLY!!!) and Keith and Heather battle it out for the restaurant.
