Marginalized People are still people
Milton Stanley, linking to a post by John Frye (the 3rd in a 5 part series), has a excellent post dealing with how most American (and 1st world) Christians avoid people / issues that are uncomfortable (dirty, smelly, unclean, problematic, marginalized, outcast, etc). Most Christians flee from people that are not like them, or that make them uncomfortable, while the model of Christ was to run too them, embrace them, eat with them, and love them. These are good things to remember as we come across those in need, those that are in need of love, and as it eats cold (and it will soon) those that need shelter.
