Voigt Wins, Levi second
While the rest of the world, and most cyclist too, was following Floyd Landis and his drug “issues”, Jens Voight won the Tour Of Germany. Jens is a long time pro that works hard EVERY day. Good to see a guy like him win a race. I am a fan of CSC and the voodoo that Riis does with riders that most people overlooked. That entire team seems to be riders that most people missed or cast aside, but that thrive under Riis. He is what a ex-tour winner running a team should look like.
American Levi Lepiheimer finished 98 seconds back. Nice to see Levi have a good Tour of Germany after a Tour De France were he did not perform as well as expected. It was a good race for Levi though. We will see if his return to Discovery next year will help his career, or if the added pressure will crack him.
