Social Gerrymandering?

This AM THQ’s is discussing Affirmative Action and how it impacts admissions to college. The crack young staff does this by examining a NY Times piece that ties Ivy League (and top college) admissions is largely based on the donations of parents. The piece contends that this leaves many good students with average means for few open slots. THQ’s crack young staff contends that there is a part of top college admissions that the NY Times piece overlooks - Affirmative Action. The crack young staff sees this NY Times piece as under researched and reported due to the lack of support for Affirmitive Action. It is a interesting piece, regardless of your view.
