Landis Hip Replacement
Yahoo Cycling has a post up that Floyd Landis’s (embattled Tour De France winner) had his hip replaced successfully on Friday. Landis will begin rehab immediately to attempt to return the the highest levels of competitve cycling. Landis should be back on the bike (at low speed and low reps) in 1 to 2 weeks. Stories like that really remind you just how far medical innovation have brought us.
Landis still faces doping charges and could lose his 2006 TDF title. Landis has requested that his trial be public and open. There are also questions about the B sample being from a number not assigned to Landis.
