Bad state of the news
I noticed this morning as the Today show began that the “top news stories” were - the North Korean nuclear test, bad lettuce out of Cali, and the fact that a body guard from the Jollie-Pitts roughed up a photographer. The new charges about Republican knowledge about the Mark Foley situation was not even mentioned until they went to the actual news desk.
My point here is two fold. First, why / how is news about a bodyguard roughing up a photographer bigger then Congressional mis-actions, the brother of Iraq’s VP being killed, Raul Castro is still in power in Cuba, and numerous other things. Newstainment is just out of control in this nation. Secondly, is the Jollie - Pitt bodyguard available to take care of bizness the next time Fred Phelps and his “followers” show up to protest at the funeral of a dead solider. That would be a good use of his skills and that would be very news worthy as well.
