One more time let me say “GO VOLS!!” That is the way to beat the dawgs – at home and hanging 50+ on them. The only thing better would have been a last second TD to make them think about it even more. We are now 8th in the nation, but Florida still has to loss twice for us to get a SEC east bid – tell me again how the SEC is not stacked. Ohio State though is clearly #1 and short of a miricle the get a national championship this year.

Moving on. Now for the reality of UT football that few can and will understand if you are not from here or do not follow the Vols – Vols fans never let wins last long.

As I was driving to work this morning, and listening to radio / watching TV yesterday, UT fans are already worrying about Alabama on the 21st. They are also talking about how special teams are on the cusp of killing us, our chance to go 11-1 being tough due to speacial teams, asking if Fulmer can hire a special teams coach, wondering what UT will do when Meachem goes pro early, when will other wide recievers get reps because all three current WR will be gone (assuming Meachem goes pro), pondering how likely Ainge is to go pro, while Cutcliffe take another head coach job at the end of this season, etc.

Bottomline I am all about looking forward, being prepared, working to improve what you do well, finding flaws and working to improve them, but this is a OPEN WEEK!! Let the team enjoy the win, heal up a bit, and stop worrying about Alabama which is 12 days away.
