Google doesn’t have the Answers
Google is shutting down their Google Answers department. Google Answers allowed people to have their questions answered by experts on the subject (screened by Google employees) for a fee. Yahoo has a similar service, which is more answers by committee, that is free. Full story at the New York Times here.
Google does make the excellent point that in any business that is based on innovation and development, which theirs and all their competitors are at the base, there will be failures.
