They Hate Me.
I went to a chat room which is something I rarely do but I did it tonight and I tell ya friend. Atheist do not like me at all!
I went into the room with a question to ask. I wanted to know why people didn’t believe in God. The answers were stupid!
” When I stopped believe I became able to sleep at night.”
” I don’t see the point in the flood. It was stupid and accomplished nothing. If God was mad at us why did He destroy the animals.”
MY Favorite-”God does call me or stop by to see me.”
This is only a few of many. For about five minutes I was drilled with questions about why did God do this why did He do that? Why are people starving? Why ? Why? WHy?
After a few minutes of this I was invited to a one on one IM. SO I agreed. It was a man who went by Eternal Athiest.He started the conversation by telling me how I was violating AOL rules by talking pushing my religious beliefs on atheist. I explained that I had only come to ask one question. He wasn’t hearing it. I was called rude, classified as YOU(meanning christians are the same in general), youngster, and so on and so on. I told him I did mean to offend you sir with my question. His response was….
” I am NOT a man.I am a grown woman who is very successful.”
Once again I appologized.I didn’t appologize for my love of God but did for my calling her a man. She explained that another man who talked about God in the atheist chat room had his acoount deleted for it.I could only think of one thing so me and my mouth spoke it. “Go ahead I don’t care.”
She became mad and made sport of me alittle bit but I stuck around.By the time I left we had talked about her children.Her education background. Why she didn’t like Chiristian’s to come into the room. We made small talk and when it was said and done I had made some progress. They all now know that I am not an atheist but I have been granted permission to come to some of their chats by this woman. Which means I went from being threatened to being able to stop in and talk with them alittle bit.
Alot more ws said that I don’t really want to type it all but the point is that don’t get frustrated with people who are at first unwilling to hear you out. Try a diffrent appoach. SHow care my talking about their family and above all don’t lose you cool. We can slip in throught the back down unharmed and slowly build better relationships or we can just be like bam here I am and get the boot. Be cool with your approach to people that don’t believe. Give them time and find a middle ground to talk to them about. The results are better than yelling that they are headed to hell the first time you meet them.
