Orville Redenbacher is scary
I saw a ad for Orville Redenbacker Popcorn last night (to view it click here, then click “take a Look at my latest commercial” (top of left menu bar) and then hit play) and this the scariest thing I have seen in a LONG TIME!!!
That is the worst makeup / CGI job I have seen in a long time. The real Orville died a few years back and to try to show him now - via a mask on some 20 year old or with some CGI overlay - is just scary. Four of us saw this “thing” and all of us had the same response - WHAT WAS THAT? and THAT IS SCARY? Orville even made my dog look at the TV with a confused look…that is bad.
How do you pitch this? Why would Con Agra (the owner of Orville Redenbacher) put this on? This thing could not have tested well?
Anyway I would suggest you keep it away from small kids and animals and flip the channel when it comes on. The Hannibal Rising trailer is not much scarier then this.
