1982 Worlds Fair / Knoxville - 25 years later

We won the bid for and then pulled off having the 1982 World’s Fair ( Site #1, Site #2,Wiki). It was the last World’s Fair to make money (though depending on who you believe Knoxville made either $12 USD or $25 USD profit). The unfortunate thing is that after pulling off the fair Knoxville did little to use the motenium and excitement and push the city to the next level. It seems that 25 years later we may be getting back on the right track, but time will only tell.
