The Knoxville Based Porn Star
I am far from naive but the current nationwide story about a Tennessee State Trooper and a porn star from Knoxville surprised me, but not for the reasons you would think.
A bit of background. The basic story is that a Tennessee state trooper received a sexual act, while on the job, from a porn star. That did not surprise me. Honestly, I think most people assume that there are some wrong on the job actions by law enforcement agents at times. Apparently this one occurred after the trooper (James Randy Moss - will let others comment on the Randy Moss tie in here) pulled over a Honda - driven by the porn star - for speeding.. Apparently the porn star admitted that she had drugs in her car, which the trooper then threw on the side of the road, thus destroying evidence. The drugs are not mentioned on the citation either. Soon after that happened she “serviced” him. This all happened in middle Tennessee near Lebanon in a dark area of the road. She contends this only became a known issue because he made a big deal about it to his co-workers. She of course blogged it after he talked about. Ain’t technology grand. (KNS Story, and Fox News Story) Due to the incident, Moss was originally suspended, but was fired today. It is not known if he will contest the firing or not.
Nothing so far this story is surprising to me. As I said before I think most people assume there are some bad officers, that there are wrong acts in public regularly, etc. No, the surprising thing to me is that the girl involved lives in Knoxville but goes to LA to “work” regularly.
Understand, I do not condone or approve of porn, but it is a real and known force within American society. Knoxville just seems to be the last place that a porn star would want to live though. Maybe that is why she continues (she apparently lived here prior to getting into porn) to live here. No one “notices” or is “looking” for her here. Just one more quality of life characteristic for Knoxville I guess.
Anyway, it is surprising to me that there is a active porn star living in Knoxville. Understand, I am not surprised Knoxville produced a porn star, as any city could, but I am surprised one would choose to live in Knoxville and commute to LA to work. Knoxville just seems to be about the last place a porn star would live - for no other reason then few airline options. The fact that she does live here surprises me, and surprising me takes a lot at this point.
