Stage 19
Well there were no big changes in the tour yesterday, just like I expected. Boogarts move to move into the top 10 was a pretty good answer to Rasmussen getting fired. Way to show team and personal pride in a tough time. Boogart is a proud man in his last tour. He showed why he is a true professional yesterday. Other then that the rest of the break was really just mid to back packers being allowed to run for a stage win while Discovery and Lotto just rested their top 3 for today.

Now for today. I think Contador loses time and I think Evans wins the stage as well as getting into yellow. I think Contador is second by the end of the day and Lepiheimer remains in third. Honestly I would love to see Levi get second, as I don’t think there is anyway he can win, but I think Contador will only loses about two minutes and that is just enough to let Evans get the yellow. This is one time that one day in yellow will be all that matters.
No matter how it goes down I think it is great that Discovery will have two men on the podium, including a white jersey winner, and two of the three will be English speakers as well. Not to bad for a language that has few riders in the TDF peloton. Also not bad that there has been a English speaking winner for nine straight years (assuming Evans gets the win).
