Farhad Manjoo, Machinist at Salon.com, has a great post up about the ongoing issue between Google and the FCC about the 4.6 billion dollar bid from Goggle about the 700Mhz band which will open up when TV goes to compressed digital from analog broadcast. Farhad does a great job summing up the issues and pressures involved simply, as well as hitting on some of the issues Google has - smaller lobbying force and arrogant techs - in comparison to the telcos who want to see a more closed system.
