Moore’s Law Revisited
Recently, TG Daily had a interesting interview up with Gordon Moore (co-founder of Intel) where they revisit, re-evaluate and re-hash “Moore’s Law” - which was first presented in 1965 and which basically states that the number of transistors on a integrated chip / microchip will double every 18 to 24 months. Moore believes that his law will fail to come true for the first time in the next 10 to 20 years simply due to the laws of physics. Some of Moore’s critics contend that Moore has hedged / adjusted his law in the last 40 or so years to make it continue to be relevant. Others tend to believe that “Moore’s” will continue to hold true due to advances and innovation into the future. Article Here
