Johnia Berry’s killer arrested!!!
The Knox County Sheriff announced today the arrest of a man who confessed to the murder of Johnia Berry.
The man who confessed is Taylor Lee Olsen. He is a resident of Knox County, though he has lived in Sevier county in the past as well. Taylor Lee Olsen is now 22 and is charged with murder and theft in the almost 3 year old crime. Olsen claims the murder was a accident. The arrest was made by the use of investigation and DNA research. Olsen submitted to a DNA submission in a unrelated crime earlier this year. The sheriff’s department credits tips and detective work in helping to lead to Olsen’s arrest.
Let us be the first to say congratulations to the Knox County Sheriff department, the TBI, and the Knoxville office of the FBI for doing a long term investigation and for finding the suspect. Personally I had always felt that the Knox County sheriff needed some outside help, it is good to know that they sought it and that their work had a positive outcome. We would also like to request for all our visitors to continue to life up the Berry family in prayer.

This is the best news this community/town has received in three years. Our
Knox County Sheriff, FBI, TBI all should receive a pat on the back for their excellent cooperation with each other and a job well done.
