The thing that bothers me is that if the same guy did the same thing to a normal citizen nothing would happen. Doubt me, consider how many times you read stories about restaurants being charged with the same crime when non officials are involved. Are you going to tell me that a person of the same ilik as the accused would not take the same action against a relationship ex, a person they dislike, a regular that stiffed them on a tip or that always leaves a messy table, or a customer that did not treat them as they felt was justified. It is bothersome to me that when someone does something to a government official (at any level) that somehow is is more egregious then when it is done to a citizen that does not hold a government position. I am for equality under and before the law.
