Real morality and values have lasting impact
Sigmund Carl and Alfred are turned up to 11 and blowing the doors off the place with their post about the need, importance and history legacy of true morals and values titled - “Value Me Because I am Worthless” and the Influence of Morality.
A few quotes from EARLY in the post follow - we chose to only quote from early in the post as a means to tease you to read it all to get the full power of the post -
The lessons (from history)- added by Swap Blog are many but one thing is certain- real influence is never determined by the numbers. Real influence is determined by the quality of the message. A moral message, given enough time, can and will change the world. Moral and just ideas have a life of their own, influencing ever growing numbers of people over time. The best if mankind is best represented by a tsunami of moral ideas embraced by millions. The worst of mankind has usually been the result of a few men influencing masses of people by way of tyranny, fear and oppression.
In fact, the most influence any individual can have is the influence he or she exerts on him or herself. Will we challenge ourselves to reach our potential or, will we submit to our baser selves? We all ask ourselves the same question: Do we matter? Do we really matter?
If we really believe the first statement and how we answer / respond to the questions in the second quote will largely determine how we are impacted by the world, how we impact the world, and how much / little of a legacy we will have after we die. SC & A goes on after these points to a build a strong and logical argument for all to strive to live a life well lived and one where their influence is not transitory but long lasting. Give this full post by SC &A a FEW reads and a lot of thought.
