DC Handgun Ban Overrulled
The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) handed down a 5-4 decision overruling Washington DC’s gun ban. The decision still allows for restriction and rules on gun ownership. The DC Police are responding by quickly establishing new guidelines and a information hot line. Washington’s Mayor Adrian M. Fenty is disappointed. The Brady Foundation has mixed reviews, but is overall accepting of it. The NRA is now going to move on to challenge bans in other cities.
