Microsoft vs Google in the market

The New York Times has a great piece up on the economics of Microsoft and Google. The NY Times contends, and I think rightfully so, that Bill Gates / Microsoft were masters of applied economics while Google is the master of a new model where they are a success not by controlling the core component of the market (like the OS by Microsoft), but by winning the battle of experiance and user loyality. Interesting stuff regardless of where you come down in the IT world. "_blank">Post here
