Chromed up and not ready to go?

Preston Gralla of Computer World has a good article up discussing how Google’s new browser - Chrome - is not designed to be a browser killer but a Microsoft office app / local program killer, i.e. a enterprise interface. The enterprise is a long way from the local users PC and Chrome has a way to go before it is ready to make that jump. As Preston argues, this may be the ultimate goal of Chrome, but Google’s browser is not quite ready for the task yet. It is a nice little browser though and is now the second most used browser on all of my machinces behind Firefox, thus moving Opera to number three, Netscape 4.7.2 to position four and IE to the fifth slot.
